The aim of the CNRS Thematic Network on Research in Education is to federate and map existing research in education in France and to promote meetings and discussions with an interdisciplinary approach.
More generally, it aims to facilitate the implementation of research in direct link with all actors of the French educational system with a view to promoting real “translational” research directly linked to the school field.

This Unit focuses on the environmental, geographical, social and/or political factors, as well as biological, psychological, or pedagogical factors that foster educational inequalities.
This Unit focuses on the evaluation of pedagogical practices, and in the way these practices are altered by the introduction of digital tools.
Unit 2 brings together the Thematic Network members interested in the analysis of educational policies and their comparison.
The members of this Unit focus their studies on the structuring and strengthening of links between research and education.
The members of this cross-cutting theme wish to address a number of scientific issues that limit the use of digital technology in education, in a multi-disciplinary way, in conjunction with players involved in the other RT themes.
The members of this second cross-disciplinary theme, subtitled “History and current events in discourse and practice”, propose to take a critical look at the history of education, in order to contribute to the debate on how to make contemporary educational systems more effective and innovative.
A total of 97 research units are affiliated with the Thematic Network on research on education issues. Each laboratory has a correspondent in charge of liaising between the laboratory and MTN.
